A small bedroom gets tidy when everything has a place. Five ways to use the space under the bed, on the wall and in the corners.
A small bedroom does not need less stuff so much as better places for it. These five ideas use space you already have.
A shallow fabric bag with handles holds spare bedding, off-season clothes and shoes. Measure the gap under the bed first.
A stackable box with a handle keeps small things sorted, such as cables, craft supplies and stationery, and takes up one footprint.
A woven basket by the bed or the door catches the books, the blanket and the odds and ends. A foldable fabric basket does the same job and folds flat when you do not need it.
If there is a spare wall or the inside of a cupboard, a tall shelving unit holds more than you expect. Fix it to the wall.
One lamp and one thing to read is plenty. A small touch lamp takes less room than a table lamp with a cable.
