Cookie Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026.
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. We keep ours to a minimum, we never use them for advertising, and apart from the ones that make the shop work, nothing is switched on until you say so.
Your choices
- Accept all turns on preferences and visitor statistics.
- Accept necessary allows the cookies the shop needs plus your display settings (theme and shop layout), but no visitor statistics.
- Deny all allows only the strictly necessary cookies. The shop works fully, but your theme and layout are not remembered between visits.
- Customise lets you switch each optional group on or off. Your choice is remembered for six months, and you can change it at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
If you have your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal switched on, we also treat that as a “no” to visitor statistics.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These can’t be switched off because the shop can’t work without them.
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Keeps your cart, checkout progress and security checks together while you browse. | Until you close your browser |
nx_consent | Remembers the cookie choice you made here. | 6 months |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Set by Stripe, our payment provider, on the checkout page to prevent fraud and keep your payment secure. | 1 year and 30 minutes |
Saved items (browser storage hearth-saved) | Keeps the products you tap the heart on, on this device only. It is created only when you save something. | Until you remove it |
Preferences (only if you allow)
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
Browser storage hearth-theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear it |
Browser storage hearth-shop-view | Remembers whether you like the shop as a grid or a list. | Until you clear it |
Visitor statistics (only if you allow)
These let us count visits and see which pages, searches and products people find useful, so we can improve the shop. The information is stored on our own server, is never sold or shared, and doesn’t include your name, email address or IP address. If you place an order we link it to your visit only to see which pages led to a sale.
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
nx_v | A random number that tells us whether you have visited before. It isn’t linked to who you are. | 13 months |
nx_s | A random number that groups the pages you view in one visit. | 30 minutes |
We keep this information for up to 25 months. Switching visitor statistics off removes both cookies straight away and stops anything further being recorded.
