1. Who we are
The Porch Tale ("we", "us", "our") is a UK online retailer of home decor: lighting, home decor and textiles. Contact us at info@theporchtale.com. Registered address: [Business address to be added].
2. Products
All products sold by The Porch Tale are new. Colours and finishes can look different on different screens, and handmade or natural materials such as wood and ceramic vary slightly from piece to piece. Measurements and weights on product pages are as accurate as we can make them.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT. The price shown on the product page is the price you pay, apart from delivery where it applies, which is shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
4. Discount codes and gift vouchers
A discount code takes the stated amount off the goods in your order and cannot be used on gift vouchers. A gift voucher is store credit that can be spent on anything we sell except another gift voucher. It is valid for 24 months from the day it is bought, has no cash value, and whatever is not spent stays on the code. Anyone who has the code can spend it, so keep it safe. We can only refund a voucher that has not been used, within the returns period.
5. Orders and delivery
Order confirmation is sent by email once payment is confirmed by Stripe. Delivery timeframes and costs are set out on our Delivery & Returns page. Deliveries are made within the United Kingdom. Gift vouchers are emailed and have no delivery charge.
6. Returns and cancellation
Where UK consumer law gives you a right to cancel an online order for a refund, that right applies in addition to our own 30-day return policy described on the Delivery & Returns page. Certain items, such as made-to-order pieces or gift vouchers once used, are excluded as described there.
7. Warranty
Electrical products include our own 24-month warranty, described on our Warranty page. This is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability for losses arising from your order is limited to the price you paid for the relevant product.
