Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026.
1. Who controls your data
The Porch Tale, of [Business address to be added], is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us at info@theporchtale.com with any privacy questions or requests.
2. What we collect
We collect what you give us directly: your name, email address and message when you use the contact or support form, your delivery details when you place an order, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter. We don't collect or store your card details; payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
3. Payment data and Stripe
Checkout runs on Stripe. Card numbers are collected and processed directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy. The Porch Tale receives confirmation of payment and an order reference, but never sees or stores your full card number.
4. Sharing your details
We share only what is needed to deliver your order: your name, address and phone number go to the courier that delivers it, and your payment details go to Stripe, which takes the payment. We do not sell your data.
5. How we use your data
We use the data you provide to fulfil orders, respond to support and contact requests, and, if you opt in, send newsletter emails. We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Cookies
This site uses a session cookie to remember your cart while you browse, which is strictly necessary. With your permission it also remembers your display settings and counts visits anonymously so we can improve the shop. None of it is used for advertising or for tracking you across other sites. You choose when you first visit and can change your mind at any time. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies.
7. Data retention
Order and contact records are kept for as long as needed to meet our accounting and legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Contact info@theporchtale.com to exercise any of these rights.
