Choosing a light
- Power: battery and USB lights go anywhere. Mains lights, such as the ceiling lights, need a socket or an electrician.
- Colour: warm white, around 3000K, is the easiest on the eyes in the evening. Cool white suits a desk.
- Cable: for USB lights, check that a charger or a power bank is close, or choose a rechargeable one.
- Placement: a corner lamp bounces light off two walls, and a curtain of fairy lights works best behind a sheer curtain.

Do the lights come with batteries or a charger?
It says on each product page what is in the box and how the light is powered.
Are the lamps dimmable?
Where a lamp supports it, the product page says so. A dimmable lamp needs a dimmable bulb.
What if the switch fails?
Every electrical product has a 24-month warranty that covers the cord, switch and fittings.
